Uh, I put it through my belt loops and it held my pants up.No such thing as an inexpensive belt: was this grown in a lab?The belt buckle is the weak link. The metal plating flaked off the first time I wore the belt.I feel like I go through a lot of belts (I wear one every day). So I try to get ones that are as affordable as possible. After all, there's no reason to spend a fortune on a belt that'll only last me a few months before looking beat up and ragged.This is your average black dress belt that fits like it's supposed to. It's on the thinner side, so if you like wide belts, you'll want to look elsewhere. In addition, it has a very tapered edge. And there is a noticeable shine, so you won't want to get this route if you prefer a matte look. But if you just want a cheap men's dress belt that will keep your pants up, this is a great option. And when it wears out in a few months (since it's not the highest quality material), you won't feel bad throwing it out.This review is for the AZ by Alexander Zar Men's Dress and Casual Leather Belts, 32 Millimeters Narrow. This was a surprisingly nice looking good quality belt for the price. I was a bit skeptical when I selected it, but glad I did. Right out of the box, it had that nice new leather smell, reflecting the fact it is at least made of 64% bonded leather. The perimeter stitching all the way around the belt was very even and tight. The loop part is thick, and will hold it’s shape without collapsing. The loop and the buckle are both securely fastened to the belt with reinforced stitching. The belt buckle itself is a good size for a dress belt, measuring 2-1/4”x1-5/8”, and has a brushed chrome finish. The black belt also has a nice finish as well with a semi-gloss type of leather shine, which I prefer over a high-gloss patent leather look.This is an excellent value belt for the quality.The size was exactly what I was expecting wearing this. Pretty nice dress belt, but stiff so I'm trying to be careful so we don't get too many cracks/creases on it.One other thing: there was definitely an odor of it coming out of the box. Make sure you give this belt time to air out for a few days; it stuck for awhile but eventually disappeared.From first appearance this is a simple bonded leather belt. It has the classic look and works well as a formal dress belt.The thin 32 mm width makes it good fit for formal design pants. The buckle itself is simple and sober. The side stitching looks good.This is labelled as a bonded leather and is certainly not a 100% leather belt.Giving it a 4 star due to its simplicity as a dress belt and good work/ finishing. Hopefully it will last long.It does has a nice packaging so it can work as a good gift item!A good looking sturdy belt. It has a strong aroma of freshly processed leather. Black on black decorative stitching spans the perimeter.It fits on well, but it's not resizable or meant to be cut, so one needs to be sure to get the correct size.
