HATCHETMEN are a 3 piece rock 'n' blues band from Detroit Michigan. Their first effort, 'JUDGE & JURY' was released in 2011, their second 'TIGHT BLACK DRESS' in late 2013. The band consists of Randy Dunn on drums and backing vocals, Reg Nicholas on bass guitar and Dick Lonczynski on lead vocals and guitars. Dick is also the principal songwriter of the bands material. Being lifelong Michigan residents from neighborhoods between Detroit and Port Huron, all of the Hatchetmen have seen good times as well as bad. All have worked in the auto industry, all have been unemployed and all have managed to get by. Weened on the fertile rock scene of the 60's and 70's by influences like the MC5, Mitch Ryder and Grand Funk Railroad, tempered by the national superstars of the day like The James Gang, Mountain and Led Zeppelin, Hatchetmen slowly developed a style to call their own. At times raucous and rocking, thoughtful and introspective, or with a dry dose of humor, something can truly be found on either Hatchetmen release to appeal to everyone.
