Updated.... See bottomI have had this watch for about a week and a half. A couple days after receiving it, I noticed that it was a little slow. (When I had bought the watch, I read other reviews saying that the original battery didn't work and needed to be replace, I thought that maybe it was a fluke and gave it the benefit of the doubt. I went ahead and bought it) I really liked how this watch looks and feels, it is sleek, light and stylish. But no matter how good a watch looks, it must also be able to tell the correct time. I decided that I was going to not send it back but just buy a new battery and everything would be fine. It was not fine. I was able to get the back of the watch off and find the correct battery, the way that the battery sets in the watch is a little funky (it looks like half the battery is poking out) but with the pressure of the back of the watch it holds the battery in place. This is where the real problems began. I could not get the back of the watch to go back in. I tried everything! For the life of me I couldn't. My wife tried, I even had my brother and dad try. Finally, I went to a jeweler to have someone capable of getting the back of the watch on and they had some trouble but were finally able to put the watch in a press to put the back on. They succeeded but while doing so the pressure of trying to get the back of the watch in, pushed the minute hand up above the second hand thus preventing the second hand from passing the minute hand. So now it is always the wrong time and cannot be fixed. If a jeweler can't replace the battery without the watch breaking then there is obviously a problem.The frustrating thing is that a $0.76 battery (that amazon sells in a 5 pack) would have prevented this whole thing if a new battery was installed by manufacturer at time of sale.In addition to all of this, there is a hair in the face of the watch as well.Moral of the story, I was very disappointed with this whole ordeal and will not be buying from them in the future.Updated....The seller contacted me and expressed concern about the experience within hours of leaving the review. They were very quick and efficient identifying the problem and offering possible solutions. They shared how they were going to fix the problem in the future and sent me a new watch with a working battery and refunded me what I spent on the other battery. I understand that sometimes things do not go according to plan and a bad apple (or in this case a watch) is sold and shipped to a customer. They had great customer service and afterwards, I really felt like they took care of the problem.I'm still not sure how to replace the battery without breaking the watch but I will cross that bridge when the battery dies (which hopefully won't be for a while!)Moral of the story. I would buy from them again as they demonstrated that they care about their customers receiving quality goods.I have a very expensive Breitling that weighs as much as a small car and a Swiss Army Victorinox chronograph, I love both watches, but they are kind of in-your-face. I wanted something clean, simple and light. I purchased both watches that VAVC makes with black faces and blue dials, figuring I would return the one I liked the least. Turns out I'm going to keep them both. They are extremely light and keep time and date perfectly (only one of the ones I bought has a date dial). I spent 4 days wearing them looking for a complaint but I can't find one. I probably would prefer the case diameters were a little smaller, maybe 38 or 40 mm, but the 42 mm case is not too big, looks perfectly fine on my wrist. Even though the watch is very dark, the face background is flat and the hands are slightly reflective, so I can read the time even in very low light. I'd say it's a perfect light watch to wear daily, hardly even know it's there until I want to know the time. One of the watches even came with an extra tan leather band. Even though I'm currently using the black band, I think it would look really good with the tan one.So I bought this watch because it has the look I wanted without paying hundreds of dollars. The only downside I see with this watch is the glass is not very smooth. You can literally feel that its a cheap glass because your fingers leave smear marks all over it. It also has a very tinny sound when you tap on it. These two things tell you that the glass is of low quality. However, I like the weight of the watch, the band is pretty nice and it even came with an extra band so Im not going to complain. I would buy another watch from this company.This is a great buy for anyone looking for a simple, modern watch. It looks just as good in person as it does in the product photos, if not better. The watch face is clean and sharp looking, and the silver hour notches play nicely with the light.The glass on the watch seems to be of great quality. I've already knocked my wrist into a few object while wearing this, and not a single scratch has shown. All of this fits into a nicely polished steel frame and the construction as a whole is very sturdy.The leather band is firm, lightweight, and soft on the wrist. I didn't realize the watch came with an additional strap of a different color - that was a nice bonus!If you like this watch style, I'd say go for it. The overall quality/look is fantastic for the price point.This watch is suitable for both casual and formal attire. It blends into my daily jeans and t-shirt outfit and compliments my black suit for professional occasions. I have discovered that I prefer watch faces with at least numbers 12, 3, 6 and 9 because it makes reading the time at a glance easier. The glass on my watch also cracked after I bumped it pretty lightly, which is a little disappointing. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase and would recommend a VAVC watch to anyone searching for something that looks nice and is affordable.After about a month of usage the watch consistently slows down, therefore the time will always be off. I am not sure is it a battery issue or not but I guess I get what I paid forUpdate: The seller sent a replacement unit after my first feedback and so far after about a month and a half, this unit is keeping time. I really like this simple design and have been wearing it almost daily. This is definitely a good product just make sure to work out your problem with the seller to get the right unitI purchased this watch in early August of 2018. I have basically worn this watch every day since. About a month ago I noticed the bands on the watch strap were becoming worn and eventually one of them tore. I contacted VAVC to see if I could purchase new straps for the watch. Not a big deal - since I figured they would be cheap. My email was responded to very quickly. Instead of letting me buy new straps, they sent me a band new watch - sight unseen.As for the watch itself, besides the bands - I've been very happy with it.Well, it looks nice but after only about 4 months the watch has started to run slow - so slow that its of no use to me now. Maybe its the battery, maybe it isn't but I really expected to get more than just a few months use of out the watch.I don't know for sure why its running slow and I'm not a jeweller so I wouldn't know how to replace the battery if it even IS the battery that's failing. A total waste of money as it doesn't do the ONE thing it's made to do....REALLY annoyed by this.Quality
